Celtics Close Out Cavaliers in Game 5

Boston Celtics defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 113-98 in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference semifinals on Monday night, eliminating the Cavaliers and advancing to the Eastern Conference finals.

Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with 27 points and 10 rebounds, while Jaylen Brown added 24 points. Darius Garland led the Cavaliers with 23 points, and Jarrett Allen contributed 21 points and 12 rebounds.

The Celtics took control of the game in the third quarter, outscoring the Cavaliers 36-19. The Celtics extended their lead to 15 points in the fourth quarter and held on for the win.

The Celtics will face the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference finals, which begins on Tuesday, May 23.
